Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how personal data may be processed in connection with the Major Tom mobile application (“App”) and this website (“Site”). Please read it carefully. Continued use of the App or Site means you also understand we may update this Policy from time to time; where changes are material, we will aim to provide reasonable notice when practical.

1. Controller & contact

For privacy requests and questions about Major Tom, please use the email address listed on the Support page.

2. Personal data we do not collect directly in the App

We do not directly collect personal data such as your name or email inside the App for routine gameplay. If you email us for support, the information you choose to send is handled as described when you contact us. Third-party services (such as advertising partners) process data under their own policies, as explained below.

3. Tracking (Apple)

We do not operate a separate, first-party “tracking” system of our own. However, advertising and measurement through Google AdMob may involve activities that qualify as tracking under Apple’s definition when you grant the relevant permissions (for example, after opting in through App Tracking Transparency) or when other lawful bases apply in your region. How we describe this in App Store Connect (including whether “Tracking” is shown for the App) reflects those practices at a summary level—see Google’s documentation for details of how AdMob processes data.

4. Google AdMob

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.

AdMob may collect and process data such as device identifiers, approximate regional information (for example derived from IP where applicable), app activity, and diagnostic or performance data for purposes including ad delivery, personalization, and measurement. Google processes this data under its own terms and policies. For details, see Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can manage some ad preferences through your device and OS settings (including Limit Ad Tracking / personalized ads settings where available).

Tracking & Personalized Advertising

On supported iOS versions, we request permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework before accessing the device advertising identifier and certain data used for tracking across other companies’ apps and websites, as required by Apple.

If you do not grant permission through ATT, we do not access that identifier for cross-app tracking on iOS in line with your choice; ads may still be shown, and Google may serve non-personalized or limited personalization ads depending on your region, SDK settings, and Google’s policies.

When permitted, AdMob and its partners may use device identifiers and usage-related data for ad personalization and measurement; where permission or consent is not given, such uses are restricted as applicable under Apple’s rules and Google’s requirements.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other regions where required, we may also present consent or preference flows (for example through Google’s User Messaging Platform) in addition to ATT, as applicable.

5. Other data that may be processed

Depending on the App version and your device, additional categories may apply:

6. Purposes of processing

7. Retention

Data may be retained for as long as needed for the purposes described above and as required by law. Analytics or log data are commonly deleted or aggregated after reasonable periods.

8. Children’s privacy

The App is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the age required by your jurisdiction). Parents and guardians should use app store and device parental controls where appropriate. If you believe a child’s information was processed in error, contact us using the Support email and we will take reasonable steps to address it.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing, and rights related to portability or complaints to a supervisory authority. For example, residents of the European Economic Area or the UK may have GDPR rights; California residents may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA. You can submit requests via the Support email; we may ask for reasonable information to verify your request.

10. International transfers

Service providers (for example cloud or advertising infrastructure) may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we aim to rely on appropriate safeguards permitted by applicable law.

11. This website (Site)

This Site is primarily informational. Limited technical logs or hosting provider statistics may be generated. Cookie use is kept minimal; if there is no embedded third-party content, cookie use remains limited.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. When the “Last updated” date changes, the new version applies. For material changes, we may also provide additional notice through the App or store channels when practical.

13. Legal notice

This Policy is provided for general information and is not legal advice. For your specific situation, consult a qualified professional.
